PRIDE Soccer is very happy to announce we have closed the deal with a joint venture partner.
DCL Concepts, a development company located in Centennial Colorado has been chosen by PRIDE Soccer as a partner to help continue the development at the complex. DCL has already begun the process of getting the property annexed into the city of Colorado Springs. Once annexed, and utilities are brought to our site, they will begin the development of retail/commercial/office space to the north of the soccer fields along Woodmen Road. While they work on that, we will begin work on additional fields and transforming the viewing berms into “stadium-like” seating.
As partners in the retail/commercial/office portion of the project, both PRIDE and DCL envision creating a very popular destination not only for the soccer community but the entire area. Instead of just standing around waiting for a game to start, parents will be able to possibly do a little shopping or simply grab a quick cup of coffee. After the game, the whole family can enjoy a sit-down restaurant. Who knows…perhaps even a place where family members can go when the weather is bad and still watch the game via closed-circuit television? And that’s just on game day. What about training? How many times during the week do you go to the soccer fields?
What businesses would you like to see at the PRIDE Complex? Maybe you have a business and would like to relocate? We’re not ready to start taking your suggestions just yet but we will be soon. The annexation process will probably take 9 – 12 months. Then road and utility work would begin. So, be thinking about it. We’ll let you know.
In the meantime…hang on…it’s going to be an exciting ride!
