Groundbreaking news! Literally

Those of you that have been to the complex have noticed ground work being done.  Yes…Field 3 is on the way!

Lots of excitement has been brewing around the club recently.  First, the closing of the deal with our new joint venture partner DCL…then, the paving of the access road and parking area.  Now…the latest news…drum roll please…FIELD 3!!!  The ground work is in progress.  The turf has been ordered and should be shipped soon.  If everyone crosses their fingers we may have the new field ready before the Fall season is over.  No promises but if the weather cooperates it could happen.  It will be in place for the Spring season for sure!

The dimensions of Field 3 will be a little smaller.  Fields 1 & 2 are 110 X 75 (yards).  Field 3 will be 100 X 70 (yards).  Obviously, this was done specifically to target our younger age groups.  They will have a field to call their own.  Not only that but, once again, we have upgraded the quality of the turf product.  This playing surface will be the same as what was installed in the new Mountain Lion Stadium at UCCS.
