Now that’s a sewing machine!

Have you ever seen a sewing machine with wheels? You have now. After the turf is rolled out, it obviously needs to be connected. This is done by laying one section up side down on top of the other and then sewing the seam. When that’s done the turf is then pulled back and stretched into place by hand.

The sand and rubber has arrived. This mixture will be spread across the field after the edges have been secured.

The finger crossing seems to be working pretty well. Even though the wind was awfully bad this weekend and prevented any work. The crew is back at it and making steady progress. Thanks to all you “finger crossers”…keep up the good work!
