Diary from Cate:
Back in April Cate Parchinski and Darcy Jerman were selected for the Region IV 93 ODP team’s trip to Costa Rica. This was a fabulous opportunity for both girls not only giving them the opportunity to play against international competition but also the chance to tour a foreign country and experience a new culture. We thought it would be great for them to share their experience by documenting their trip. We hope that as you read through this diary you gain an understanding of what soccer can expose you to on the field but also off it. Hope you enjoy Cate’s recollections of the trip. Thank you Cate for taking the time to write this and for sharing your memories with us! [more] Posted on - 5/13/2008

The U14 Predator Girls coached by Shannon Brooks, became the first team in the history of the Pride Soccer Club, to make the finals of the Spring Classic at Dallas Cup. 2008 was the third year in a row that the Predator 94 girls spent Easter weekend in Dallas. Year one and two ended up being great preparation for what was in store for them in 2008.

The Pride Red 93 U-15 Girls, coached by Joe Martin won the U-15 Gold Division at the Front Range Invitational Tournament (FRIT) last weenkend (6/1/08). With the help of some fantastic guest players, this team battled back after being behind in 2 of it's games. They impressed everyone watching with their talent, tenacity and just pure GUTS. They made it to the finals to play a team, The Explosion, which went undefeated during the FRIT. The Final game was a real battle, ending in a 1-1 tie. But then this team DOMINATED in the shoot-out, making all their PK's and allowing only 1 for the Explosion. Congratulations to Pride Red 93. Great Job girls!! [more]

The Pride Gold ’96 girls team, Coached by Jeff Anderson, went to the 2008 Durango Shootout with one goal in mind….come home with a medal or don’t come home at all. The team played some great teams from Telluride, Durango, and Albuquerque. In the round robin portion of the tournament the team achieved a record of 2-0-1 and outscored their opponents 9-3. This success propelled the team to the tournament championship game….it was their first one in the two years the team has been together. The girls played fantastic in the finals and brought home their first ever medal. Although it was Silver, it was a testament to the hard work the girls have put in all season long….they can all be quite proud of their accomplishment. Congratulations to Pride Gold ’96 for taking 2nd place in the 2008 Durango Shootout!
