Kaeli Vanderslius, Sarah Schweiss, Cate Parchinski, Andi Tostanoski and Darcy Jerman (pictured left to right) were 5 of the 16 girls selected to represent the 93/94 CO team at the ODP Championships in Phoenix, AZ January 16-19. All five girls played a key role in helping CO beat Southern California in both pool play and in the final to take the Region IV ODP Championship. While Jerman, Vandersluis, Parchinski and Schweiss have all represented the state team at this level previously a special mention has to go to Andi Tostanoski who was the only goalkeeper on the team and who, according to State Director Nate Shotts made some huge saves during the tournament.
This is the first time a CO team has qualified for Nationals for a few years and is all the more memorable when you consider that So Cal dominates the Championships every year and this year claimed 5 of the 8 titles. Pride would like to tell all 5 girls how proud we are of their accomplishments and wish them all the best as they prepare for the National ODP Championships in Phoenix, AZ March 11-14 2010. Way to go Girls!
