How to Organize Your Training Sessions
Warm-up / stretching
Focus on a skill without pressure (an opponent or
small space restrictions)
Gradually add pressure / play a contest or fun game
/ or move to 1 vs. 1, etc.
Play small sided games with 2, 3, 4 players on each
team. The more touches the better.
Focus on the technique (skill) you practiced without
pressure.
Move to a game or scrimmage.
Conditioning age appropriate.
Cool down.
Length of training is age specific. Twice or three
times a week plus a match.
U-8: one hour / U-9 to U-12 : one our and 15 min.
to one hour and 30 min.
