U8-U10 PSA School of Excellence Program

The School of Excellence Program is open to ALL U8-U10 players who have an eye towards competitive soccer, or just a serious desire to improve their skills. The program consists of five 90 minute training sessions that focus primarily on technical development in small group situations. The SOE curriculum has a proven success record and is designed to teach the advanced skills required to be successful at the highest levels of the game.

If a player completes the 3 year progressive curriculum they will be taught the correct fundamentals of dribbling, 1v1 attacking moves, passing and receiving, turns with the ball and balls out of the air; at an intense level so they are able to duplicate the techniques under pressure in game situations. The basic tactical concepts that will be covered are 1 v 1 attacking and defending, attacking with numbers, combination plays and positional awareness.

Participation at the SOE will also make each player eligible for selection to an academy team (see Academy team page for more info) and give those chosen the opportunity to attend local and regional tournaments with the PSA Academy Teams.

In addition to the high level training the SOE participants will also get a full PSA Adidas uniform which will include a jersey, shorts, socks, jacket and ball. We are excited to have Adidas the leading soccer provider team up with the leading academy program in the state to offer a professional training environment.

U11-U14 Pride Soccer Academy Program

This program is open to those players graduating from the U10 SOE and any U11-U14 ‘competitive’ player. This program also consists of five 90 minute sessions but the group sizes will be larger than that of the SOE as the topics being taught will be more dynamic and tactical based requiring larger numbers to complete.

The U11-U14 PSA curriculum will focus on the execution of technical skills in pressure situations and advanced small group tactics. The goal of thisprogram is to ensure that by the time our players have reached high school they have been exposed to all of the core technical skills and tactical concepts necessary to be a high level soccer player.

The only item of uniform that is mandatory for the U11-U14 PSA program is the blue PSA jersey. Players are welcome to wear the rest of their PSA uniform from SOE or even order one if they wish to.
